Honda Transmission Rebuild Charlotte NCTop Symptoms for Honda Transmission Repair / Rebuild

1) Torque Converter
It is important to fix transmission problems as soon as possible because allowing a problem to linger can cause permanent damage to your car. Most of the complaints regarding Honda transmission failure is related to the torque converter. This happens when the engine will rev up, but the car cannot move. This can cause the transmission to burn up, which requires total replacement

2) Gears Slipping
Be aware of your car slipping into neutral. Some Honda owners have also reported that the car’s transmission pops randomly into neutral, which causes grinding when traveling at high speeds. Seek maintenance and repairs as soon as possible. These problems can damage or even ruin your transmission, so if you are having transmission problems it is important to have your car serviced as soon as possible.

3) Transmission Fluid Leaks
Check for fluid leaks. If your Honda is leaking a deep red fluid, this is transmission fluid. It may be a main seal leaking or it could be leaking from the transmission housing. The only way to know what seal has failed is to get underneath the vehicle and check for the source of the leak.
DO NOT IGNORE THE SIGNS OF A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM.
Transmission problems will continue to worsen as they are neglected till eventually the car will stop, failing to shift into any gears and possibily endangering anyone who may be driving when the gears are lost. Some types of transmission repair are simplier than a complete transmission rebuild.

2003 Honda Odyssey Transmission Repair | Charlotte NC

The 2003 Honda Odyssey is the 2nd Generation of Honda Odyssey vehicles. The Honda Odyssey is considerably larger than its predecessor, and adopted the Chrysler style minivan format, with sliding rear doors instead of hinged ones, simpler front strut suspension in place of upper and lower control arm front suspension, and other features. The Odyssey was originally conceived and engineered in Japan, in the wake of country’s economic crisis of the 1990s – which in turn imposed severe constraints on the vehicle’s size and overall concept.

Although the 2003 Honda Odyssey is a great family vehicle, it is also known for its transmission problems. The 4-speed automatic transmission in 1999 to 2001 models had serious problems with transmission durability. Honda Odyssey five-speed models typically were damaged by premature wear of the third-gear clutch pack. As the clutch friction material abraded, it scattered bits inside the transmission case, clogging fluid lines and causing erratic shifting. Drivers might suffer slipping, poor or no shifts, or sudden down-shifts from 5th gear to 2nd gear. Second gear could overheat and break, causing the transmission to lock. The Acura CL, TL, MDX and Honda Accord suffered similar problems

Here are some other specific transmission problems associated with the 2003 Honda Odyssey that would be cause for a transmission repair:
* Transmission gears slipping
* Transmission will not go into gear
* Check engine light is on
* Car shakes at highway speeds
* Gears skip at highway speeds
* Hard to shift between gears
* Loss of gears, gears break
* Will not move forward
